The northeast is the best location for this occupation which is related to it's relative geographic location to the Ivy League Schools. Philosophy teachers in Rhode Island make an average of $87,670. New York and New Jersey are also closely behind Rhode Island for states that pay Philosophy teachers top dollar.
Philosophy majors are not just limited to careers in Philosophy. Philosophy majors can be found in many different industries such as Law, Business, Healthcare, Government, Information Analysis, and the list goes on and on.
